On this page
Short answer: TOTO’s current Washlet bidet seats list from $567 (A2) to $2,005 (S7A) on totousa.com. For most buyers the S2 ($775) or S5 ($974) is the sweet spot: instant warm water, a warm-air dryer, PREMIST, EWATER+ wand cleaning and a night light, with a remote on the S5. Go lower (A2, S1) only if you can live without a dryer, and go to the S7 or S7A only if you want the top spec.
All prices below are TOTO’s MSRP list price for the elongated seat in Cotton white, taken from totousa.com on November 4, 2026. Street prices at retailers can differ. We haven’t tested any of these products hands-on; this comparison is built from TOTO’s own pages and spec tables. We earn a commission from HOROW (not from TOTO), which we mention near the end.

Shopping at Costco? Our Costco bidet seats and smart toilets guide shows which TOTO Washlet models Costco.com lists and how to match their model numbers.
The chart uses one basis only: bidet seats, elongated, Cotton white, MSRP list price on totousa.com. The G5A smart toilets are whole toilets, so they are covered separately below. Several models also come in round, and the S7 and S7A come in Classic and Contemporary styles at the same listed price.
Washlet comparison chart: features by model
Feature entries come from TOTO’s comparison table and each model’s product page. “Not listed” means we didn’t find it on that page, not that the seat lacks it.

A few more notes from TOTO’s pages:
- PREMIST (a pre-spray that wets the bowl before use) is listed on the S2, S5, S7, S7A and KS6.
- Remote with memory for up to 4 users is listed on the S5, KS5 and KS6. The S7 and S7A use a block-style remote.
- EWATER+ for the bowl: TOTO’s comparison table marks it on four models, while the S2 and S5 product pages mention EWATER+ for the wand only. Our table follows the product pages; check the spec sheet if bowl cleaning matters to you.
- Remote-control seat (auto open/close) is marked only for the S7A; remote-control flush and optional auto flush are each marked for two models in TOTO’s table. Wide Front Cleanse is listed on the S7 and S7A only.
- Water and air temperature settings: five each on the S7 and S7A, three on the others.
- Automatic air deodorizer is listed on the S2, S5, KS6, S7 and S7A product pages.
- Warranty: the S7 and S7A pages list a two-year limited residential warranty. We didn’t find a warranty term on the other pages we checked, so confirm it with the seller.
Which TOTO Washlet should you buy?
Lowest price: A2 or S1. The A2 ($567) is a basic seat with warm water, a heated seat and side-panel control. The S1 ($597) adds instantaneous water heating, so warm water doesn’t run out. Neither lists a dryer.
Best value: S2. At $775 it’s the cheapest model that lists all of: instant heating, warm-air dryer, night light, PREMIST and EWATER+ wand cleaning. You operate it from a side panel.
Best all-rounder: S5. At $974 you get the S2 feature set plus a multifunction remote with personalized memory for up to 4 users. If more than one person uses the toilet, that’s the upgrade worth the extra $199.
Mid-range alternatives: KS5 and KS6. The KS5 ($822) has a remote but no EWATER+ listed. The KS6 ($1,057) adds EWATER+ for the wand and PREMIST in a sculpted elongated-only design, but it costs $83 more than the S5, so it only makes sense if you prefer the look.
Top spec: S7 or S7A. Five temperature settings, EWATER+ on the wand and the bowl, and Wide Front Cleanse. The S7A ($2,005) adds an auto open/close lid and remote control of seat and flush. That’s roughly twice the S5 price, so it is a luxury choice.
Dryer on a budget: KC2. The KC2 ($674) lists warm air drying and a heated seat but not instant water heating in TOTO’s table. It is “Ecommerce Exclusive,” sold only through online retailers. On its product page, the listed retailers showed prices from $338.59 to $674.00, so the gap between MSRP and what you pay can be large. Check the live price and seller.
Head-to-head matchups people search for
TOTO Washlet S2 vs S5
The S2 and S5 share the same listed core: instant water heating, dryer, night light, PREMIST, EWATER+ and automatic deodorizer. The difference is control. The S2 uses a side panel; the S5 comes with a remote and memory settings. MSRP: S2 $775, S5 $974.
TOTO Washlet A2 vs S2
For $208 more, the S2 adds instantaneous water heating, a warm-air dryer, a night light, EWATER+, PREMIST and an auto energy-saver mode. If you are choosing between them and use the bidet daily, the S2 is the one with the practical upgrades.
TOTO Washlet KC2 vs S2
The KC2 lists a dryer and a heated seat but no instant heating, night light, EWATER+ or PREMIST. The S2 lists all of these. KC2’s MSRP is $674 and S2’s is $775, but retailer prices on TOTO’s KC2 page ran as low as $338.59, so compare actual current prices before deciding.
TOTO Washlet C5 vs S5
TOTO’s current Washlet table and product menu no longer list the C5 or C2. If you’re looking at a C5 at a retailer, treat it as an older model and check the seller’s spec sheet. For a new purchase on TOTO’s current lineup, the S5 is the nearest equivalent we can document, but we have not verified how the two differ in detail.
Washlet vs Washlet+ vs Neorest
- Washlet is the bidet seat. TOTO says it replaces your existing seat and fits most toilets sold in North America. Check that your bowl is elongated or round, and that there’s an outlet nearby. See our guide to smart toilets vs bidet seats if you’re not sure which route you want.
- Washlet+ is a toilet set: a TOTO toilet designed to connect to a companion Washlet with no visible hoses or cords. TOTO groups these as Aurora, one-piece, two-piece and wall-hung. You pay for the toilet and the seat together, so we don’t price them here; see TOTO’s Washlet+ page.
- G5A and G5A Lite are TOTO’s integrated smart toilets. On totousa.com the G5A lists at $5,109 and the G5A Lite at $3,570 (MSRP). Both list auto flush with a manual backup for power outages and a remote; the G5A also lists an auto open/close lid.
- Neorest is TOTO’s luxury collection of smart toilets. On the pages we checked, MSRP was $10,675 (LS), $14,529 (WX1 wall-hung), $15,269 (NX1) and $26,279 (NX2). TOTO’s Neorest page lists auto flush, PREMIST, a deodorizer, a heated seat and an auto open/close lid among its smart toilet technologies.
In short: a Washlet is an upgrade to the toilet you have; Washlet+ and G5A are for new installs; Neorest is a different price tier. If you are replacing a toilet and want power-outage flushing or a specific rough-in, read tankless vs tank smart toilets, smart toilet power outage and 10 vs 12 inch rough-in first.
Cheaper alternatives
Keeping your toilet: a Washlet is the more universal option here. TOTO says Washlet seats fit most toilets sold in North America, while HOROW’s bidet seats are listed as compatible with specific HOROW toilets (the B0503 page, for example, says “Compatible with 8733 series toilets”), so they are not a general replacement for a Washlet. If you only want a water wash and can skip the heated seat and dryer, a non-electric attachment costs far less; see our guide to the best bidet attachments.
Replacing the toilet: this is where the price gap is largest. TOTO’s integrated G5A Lite lists at $3,570 and the G5A at $5,109. HOROW sells complete smart toilets direct: the T32 at $499 (heated antibacterial seat, built-in tank and pump, auto and power-outage flush in its product title) and the T33 at $799 (heated bidet cleansing, warm-air drying, ADA comfort height). How we checked
We read TOTO USA’s Washlet comparison page and the product page for each model, and recorded the MSRP list price and features as written, on November 4, 2026. For HOROW we read the product data and compatibility notes on horow.com the same day. We did not buy, install or test any of these products, and anything a page didn’t state is marked “not listed” rather than assumed. TOTO has no affiliate relationship with this site. Prices change, so confirm the current price and the seller before you buy.
